Bet you can't guess where this one's from! No, it's not Hawaii, Brazil, or Fiji. Believe it or not, these sparkling springs can be found in good ol' Oklahoma! Just six miles west of Arkansas, and 32 miles from the border of Missouri, this scenic oasis is nestled in the lush Ozark Highlands. Here, the sound of the falls pouring gently into a serene blue-green pool at the base of a ravine is peaceful enough to lower your blood pressure instantly. Once you reach the valley floor, that thick, humid, Eastern Oklahoma air that made you sluggish on your walk down, transforms into a refreshingly crisp breeze you'll be tempted to wallow in for hours. It's as though you've just exited a steamy subway car and stepped right into a divine, air-conditioned spa. Dripping Springs in Natural Falls State Park is a very special place located in Oklahoma's Cherokee Nation. Who knew that the state known for wind sweeping down the plain is actually home to nine of America's most incredible waterfalls? So, next time you're thinking, what the hell's in Iowa, or Idaho, or Oklahoma, for that matter...give it a quick google, or ask me! There is so much to see EVERYWHERE!
